As a matter of fact this practice can show results in just 5 days. Each treatment of iontophoresis may take from 15-30 minutes. Some people are of the opinion that hypnosis can also stop sweaty hands. But there are no studies that support this kind of treatment. As this treatment does not have any side effects it can be tried safely. As far as possible people who have sweaty hands should go for non-surgical treatments. Medication that is used for stopping sweaty hands includes sedatives, beta blockers and anticholinergics. They are not very well taken by the patients. Benzodiazepines like valium can also be used to treat sweaty hands which are a result of anxiety. Antiperspirants are the best ways to treat this condition. They are the most preferred method. Antiperspirants which contain aluminium chloride hexahydrate are primarily recommended. The Antiperspirants block the opening of the sweat glands. However, certain side effect like skin irritation is seen. The results obtained do not completely stop the sweat from coming out.
