Breast Enlargement Surgery - Is it an Option?
The need for self improvement is what makes us human; there is most probably something most of us would change about our appearance if we had the opportunity. One of the things a large number of women would consider changing about themselves is of course their breasts. The question we need to ask is; what does breast enlargement surgery (Breast Augmentation) involve? The surgical procedure itself involves the placement of implants, usually made from medical-grade Silicon or sometimes filled with Saline solution, behind the existing breast tissue. A small incision is made in one of a number of places (there are many choices of incision sites ranging from the usual site underneath the breast to under the armpits and even in some cases through the belly button and involving placement of implants endoscopically) and the implants are placed in situ. The procedure is of course carried out under a general anaesthetic and you will be required to undergo some medical tests before hand to ensure you are a suitable candidate. You should make your consultant aware of any medical history which could have a bearing on this decision also. This type of surgical procedure has now been in use for many decades and the risk of experiencing any post-operative side effects very rare. You should expect the area to be sensitive and may experience some slight numbness but these symptoms are temporary in the vast majority of cases.
