Speaking of sagging skin and loose muscles, both of these can also occur with pregnancy, especially if the woman has been pregnant more than once, or pregnant with multiples. In both situations, the skin and abdominal muscles are often stretched beyond their capacity. So, after the pregnancies, the midsection of a woman can look floppy. What a tummy tuck does is, via small incisions, tighten both the loose skin and muscle (as well as getting rid of some additional fat) in order to give the woman a considerably flatter and more attractive torso. In order to get the process started, the first thing that the woman will need to do is find the right surgeon for the procedure. The thing that a woman should keep in mind when looking for an excellent surgeon is, of course, whether or not they are fully certified, the amount of experience they have in performing this procedure (which should include an extensive portfolio of before and after photographs) as well as many verifiable patient testimonials. When the right surgeon has been found, the next step is to schedule a consultation. During the consultation, the patient will be asked a variety of different questions about their health background as well as any previous surgeries that they might have had. The surgeon will then examine the patient to determine whether or not she is indeed a suitable candidate.
